Boat Cruises
Away from the major centres, much of New Zealand's coastline remains relatively unpopulated, with areas in the South Island virtually untouched. Relax on deck and find yourself cruising through glorious bays, island-studded gulfs and sheltered waterways, or exploring inland rivers and lakes. You'll find the magnificent scenery that isn't visible from the roads and combine your cruise with activities such as diving or swimming with the dolphins.
Trips range from a few hours to several days. Private charters are also available, as well as onboard dining and fully serviced functions. New Zealand's cruising grounds can be divided into four principal regions: Bay of Islands, Hauraki Gulf, Marlborough Sounds/Nelson, and Fiordland. Expedition cruises to Antarctica and Sub Antarctic Islands.
