New Zealand is home to some of the most spectacular fishing opportunities in the world, from the world's best striped marlin to stunning backcountry fly fishing. Whether it be freshwater or saltwater fishing, New Zealand is an absolute paradise for angler's.

Saltwater fishing ..... Big game fishing in New Zealand is world renowned. Excellent salt-water game is best found off the East Coast of the North Island. There are many centres from which to base a big game fishing holiday, such as the Bay of islands, Whangaroa, Whakatane and Tutukaka. From these centers the glamour species can be caught. Predominant are striped marlin, and in New Zealand waters these fish grow to their largest size.

Freshwater fishing ..... Inland, the fresh crystal clear waters and uncrowded rivers and lakes make the chance of catching legendary trout an absolute possibility. New Zealand is abundant with wild trout and a ‘catch and release’ approach is promoted to conserve resources.
